Public Safety Answering Center II Achieves LEED Gold Certification

The Public Safety Answering Center II has received its LEED Gold certification. The Public Safety Answering Center II serves as an emergency respose facility for New York City. Located in the Bronx, the building stands at 11 stories tall and includes 450,000 square feet of office space. 

The Vidaris team collaborated with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) on the project work. SOM managed the design and energy modeling portion and the Vidaris team ensured that LEED construction credit was recieved. 

The Vidaris team included Paul Shafer, R.A., A.I.A., LEED AP (project manager) and Cristiana Georgescu, LEED AP BD+C. The sustainability elements included reducing water 30% over the LEED baseline and recycling over 40% of the architectural materials.
