PUBLIC SPACE FUTURES
New Yorkers coming together in a new way for 2020 and beyond
2020 has been a challenging year across the world. As New Yorkers, we continue to adapt to the changing conditions. Painful at times and joyous for the smallest wins, we continue to turn to our vital resource, our public space. This discussion will explore how the public domain (streets, sidewalks, parks, etc.) has assumed an even greater role as New York City's communal living room during the COVID-19 crisis. We have seen collaboration of community groups, government and the private sector come together to be creative with our street, sidewalks and parks. As we move forward, our panel will discuss what has been working, what needs attention, and how we envision the future of our Public Space.
This 30-minute discussion will be released on Thursday, October 29, 2020. By registering, you will receive notification once it has been published along with a link to the video.
